Nesin Grad Center Color Laser

As of Spring Semester 2014, computers in the Graduate Mac Lab at Nesin Hall may now print directly to the color laser printer, located in the Vending/Copy Room across the hall from the Grad Mac Lab.

This printer is available to all registered graduate students at MCA for a charge of $0.15 per 8.5″ print, and $0.30 per 11×17″ print. Cards are available from the business office at Gibson Hall in $10.00 and $20.00 denominations and are only used once to actually add the dollar amount purchased to your account. Print Card balances can be used for both the Fiery at Rust Hall as well as the laser printer at Nesin Hall. Purchases DO NOT roll over from semester to semester and are not valid after the date listed on the bottom right of the card.

Once you’ve purchased a card, you’ll need to go to one of the lab computers and log in to the print system by going to http://www.mcalabs.net:9191 Once you’ve entered that address, you will see the PaperCut system login page:

As shown in the image above, you MUST use your Dali MCA Labs username and password (not your student e-mail username/password, and not your Grad Lab username and password).

After entering your username, password and hitting the Login button, you will see your “Account Summary” page.

Paper sizes available/prices:

ONLY THE PAPER SIZES LISTED BELOW WILL WORK. IF YOU PRINT AND NOTHING HAPPENS AT THE PRINTER, BUT YOU SEE NO ERRORS ON YOUR COMPUTER, CHECK THE PAPER SIZE YOU HAVE DEFINED IN PAGE SETUP. IF IT’S NOT SET TO ONE OF THE BELOW SIZES, YOUR DOCUMENT WILL NOT PRINT.

Paper Size: Cost:
8.5 x 11 (single-sided) $0.15
8.5 x 11 (double-sided) $0.30
11 x 17 (single-sided) $0.30
11 x 17 (double-sided) $0.60

Printing double-sided documents:

Double-sided printing is selected in two locations. You will want to select the checkbox for “Two-sided” beside the number of copies you wish to print. Additionally, if you want to print a bound booklet, you will want to navigate to the “Printer Features” section of the print driver options. Make the appropriate settings for booklet binding as desired.

If you have any “misprints” or errors when printing, save them and come see Jeff at Rust Hall during regular working hours (from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday) to discuss credits/refunds. They must be “genuine” misprints though, not just “I selected the wrong options” to get refunds.
