How to Use the Konica Minolta Copiers on Campus
The Konica Minolta copiers, including the “Fiery” located in the print lab, can be used as a copier by all MCA students, faculty, and staff.
Copiers can be found at the following locations:
- Rust Hall Library – Color
- Rust Hall Mail Room – Black & White only
- Rust Hall Print Lab – Color (Second floor, north tower – previously the Writing Lab)
- Nesin Hall Copy Room – Color (Second floor, across from the Art Ed Resource Room)
Students: In order to make copies on the Konica Minolta copiers, you must have previously purchased a print card from the Business Office. Copiers are available to all registered students at MCA for a charge of $0.15 per 8.5″ print, and $0.30 per 11×17″ print. Cards are available in $10.00, $20.00, and $50.00 denominations and are only used once to actually add the dollar amount purchased to your account. Purchases DO NOT roll over from semester to semester and are not valid after the date listed on the bottom right of the card.
For additional instructions regarding adding print cards, and adding these to your account, please reference the page on Printing to the Color Laser Printer.
If you have added funds to your account, you can then use any campus copiers. The first step is to log in to your labs account on the printer, as shown below. Your username format is as follows:
Students – firstname.lastname
Faculty & Staff – fLastname (where f = first initial, Lastname = lastname)
This is a touchscreen panel. To enter your username and password, simply press the keyboard icon beside the appropriate field, as illustrated below.
Students: If you log in successfully, you will see a screen showing your current available balance.
Faculty & Staff: If you log in successfully, you will see a confirmation screen indicating you are logged in.
At this point, you will be able to use the screen to select copy options. By default, the copier will be set to make a black & white copy. The screenshot below will show the 4 major options for making copies. This includes color or black & white, paper size, enlargement, and the number of copies.
When you have made all choices regarding what you want to copy, press the glowing blue Start button.
If you have finished all copy operations, be sure to press the Access button along the right side of the panel and press Ok to log out, so that no one else can use your PaperCut balance.
Any questions regarding copier access should be directed by email to email@example.com
